Can I apply for the PGDE Languages programme with only one language (other than English)?
The guidance given to potential applicants is, if you are wanting to study on the PGDE programme (and only have one language other than English) you should apply as soon as possible. Should you be successful at interview you would only be made a conditional offer on the basis that you complete and SKE (subject knowledge enhancement) course to get a second language up to KS3 level.
Experience from the Programme Tutor is that schools do require two languages in order to place them in their classrooms.
