Is it possible to transfer from BSc Biology onto Bsc Biology with a Year Abroad or BSc Biology with Placement Year once I have started my course?
The BSc Biology with a Year Abroad must be applied for in advance. This is a three year degree where the second year (spent in one of a set of Universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore) counts towards your degree. There is no option to transfer to this course after arrival.
The Placement year is, however, something you can choose to do after you arrive at Sheffield. This would turn your 3 years BSc into a 4 year course and you would spend your third year on a work placement. We have excellent relationships with many businesses and charities and a dedicated tutor overseeing student progression with this programme.
