in PhD study at ScHARR (School of Health and Related Research).
The entry criteria and
application process for PhD applications to ScHARR can be found here:

An important
element of the application is the research proposal. I have attached a document
which outlines what we expect from a research proposal at this early stage.
It is also a good idea to determine if the area of research
that you are interested in matches any of the areas of research of our
supervisory staff. PhD applications tend to be facilitated if applicants have
already discussed their research proposal with a potential supervisor prior to
submitting the application. The best way to do so is to look into the various
areas of research conducted at ScHARR. Information about this can be found on
our webpages

The following
search tool will help you:
https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/researchsupervisors/view?type=search&department=MDE&keywords=
It allows you to
search for supervisors, either by department or by using key words. You can
then contact potential supervisors to discuss your research. When you submit
your application, you can then list them as your proposed supervisor/s once you
have their agreement to do so.
